National Incident Management System

Incident Command System

           

IS700 – Introduction to the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and

IS100 – Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS)

 

This brief (4 hour) training provides an overview of the systems that we will work under in disasters.  These courses are required for government employees, volunteers and private sector partners that will work in emergency situations.

 

Prerequisites:  None

 

Dates:   December 6 and 7, 2006   Times:    8am until noon or 1pm until 5pm

               January 17 and 18, 2007                           8am until noon or 1pm until 5pm

 

 

IS200 – Basic Incident Command System

 

Through a combination of instructor presentation and group exercises, participants will learn the principles, concepts, features, organization and terminology of the incident command structure used in disaster response.  This is training for supervisors and managers of agencies with disaster related duties or agency staff that work in the Emergency Operations Center .

 

Prerequisites:  IS700 and IS100

 

Dates:   December 8, 2006   Times:    8am until 5pm

               January 19, 2007                    8am until 5pm
